Innovation Manager in the Standard “UNI 11814” in Accordance with ISO/IEC 17024
The Innovation Manager promoted by the Ministry of Economic Development (MISE) in 2019, a professional figure established to facilitate companies’ access to innovation consultancy by a specialist known as the Innovation Manager.
During the provision of consultancy services by Innovation Managers registered in the specific register established at MISE, the Italian Standardization Body (UNI) initiated the standardization process of unregulated professions in Italy, through which it is currently defining tasks and requirements of knowledge, skills, and autonomy for the main professionals not otherwise regulated by law.
In the standard 11814:2021, a managerial profile of the Innovation Manager emerges that is much more developed than the manager originally listed in the register established at MISE. And, by virtue of Law 4/2013, the Innovation Manager certified according to UNI 11814 is officially recognized in the Italian regulatory context.
